Welcome to UK Roleplaying, a site for sharing and collating resources on LRP/LARP/larp design, theory, community culture and event reviews in the UK. The site is partnered with the wiki, which is under construction at wiki.uklarp.org

This site has been set up by founding editors Laura Mitchell and Chloe Germaine Buckley. However, we hope that as time passes it will move into more collective community ownership. All materials published here are presented under a Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike license. If you are interested in becoming a contributor, or in providing technical assistance for the website or wiki, please get in touch.

The site is currently personally funded by the founding editors and is run on a not-for-profit basis. Donations to support running costs are welcome.

What this site is not

This site is not a place to advertise events, nor does it provide an event calendar. While articles may present differences of opinion and generate controversy, this is done only in the interest of promoting debate, furthering discussion and sharing best practice.

This site, and many of the materials within, owe much to the amazing work done by LARPers in other countries, to sites such as NordicLARP.org and to personal communications with LARPers worldwide. As such, this site is not exclusionary, but instead aims only to provide a portal to support and showcase the work and innovation of the UK LARP community. The editors of this site will NOT support content which advocates discrimination and promotes racism. If you have run or attended LARP events in the UK, we hope parts of this site will be of interest.
